MULTIMEDIA FILTERS

WATER DYNAMICS Multimedia filters are used as primary treatment units in water applications and as a tertiary treatment units in wastewater effluent reuse applications. Fabricated of high grade carbon steel, stainless steel or GRP, these filters media vary significantly considering the types of water and wastewater treatment applications.

Whether removing suspended solids, odors, or residual chlorine from the water these filters can be made to operate in manual, semi automatic and automatic modes depending on the client's requirements.

The filter itself consists of a cylindrically shaped vertical or horizontal pressure vessel which externally incorporates a drain, manholes, supporting legs, inlet and outlet piping, flanges, valves, and measuring instruments. Internally, the filters consist of the filtration media, top distribution system and bottom collection system.

Pressure multimedia filters are designed as pressure vessels. As a company standard, these vessels are designed and fabricated in accordance with the ASME code requirements combined with good engineering practices.
